Magic Online

For those faithful to bl1tz.com you may have already heard … Magic: The Gathering is now available as an online game for the PC.
Before you even start making fun of me, it’s important that you know a little bit of history about Magic and moonkhan. Way back in the day (around the time The Dark was released), I started playing Magic. I didn’t believe people at first that it was “Paper Crack”, but the consumption of my soul took only a few weeks. Before I knew it I was playing everyday and thinking about it non-stop. I immediately gravitated to the All-Black Nightmare Powerhouse that was affectionately dubbed “The Black Deck” by my peers. It was the first deck I had really made all for myself and I played with it for about 1.5 years. Nothing brought me more satisfaction than being in a 8-player game and saying, “If you kill me, I’ll take you and you and you and you with me!”
Then came the girlfriend and the end of Magic for about 2 years. And what an unfulfilling 2 years that was!
I had skipped the beginnings of Type II and started playing again before Weatherlight was released. Type II was the new format and multi-player madness was a memory. Staying true to my roots, I became fascinated with the absolute power of Necro-decks. They were fast and they were unrelenting … just my style :)
Tourneys came and went and before I knew it we were about to get our hands on the new Urza’s Saga prerelease cards. That’s when my Magic days came to an abrupt end with the theft of my cards by a certain ex-girlfriend. With all of my precious cards gone, I had no choice but to surrender to the “real world” once again.
That was more than 4 years ago which brings me to the present. As I type this, the melodic chime of “Logging In” just reminded me of my latest craze. Playing Magic (for free this time). My handle is moonkhan and I’ll be more than happy to pound you into the ground on Magic Online.
