I’m one episode away from finishing Star Trek: TNG s1. I recently watched all 3 seasons of Star Trek: The Original Series. So far, TOS is *way* better.

TNG has too many characters (thank heavens Yar just died - I couldn’t take any more of her). So far the only interesting one is Data although I’m still holding onto hope for Worf. Riker is a boyscout and Troi is so out-of-place it’s annoying. Granted, I like my psychic detective show (The Dead Zone) but psychic ship’s counsellor? Please. The psychic thing is completely unnecessary. And then there’s Picard … he simply not Kirk.

Things missing in TNG: a womenizing captain, a grumpy doctor and a fascinating vulcan. As cheezy as the old episodes were they hold a lot of entertainment value. I’ll leave you with some hilarious Star Trek motivational posters!
